Walking safaris reveal the smaller details of the bush often missed from a vehicle animal tracks, birds, insects, plant life, and sometimes close encounters with plains game like zebras, giraffes, and antelope. You’ll also learn traditional tracking skills and insights into the ecosystem.
Bird watching is best early in the morning and late afternoon when bird activity is highest. The Serengeti is home to over 500 species, and our camp’s location near water sources and woodland edges makes it ideal for spotting both common and rare birds.
Guests often spot lilac-breasted rollers, hornbills, secretary birds, eagles, vultures, weavers, and bee-eaters, among many others. During certain months, migratory species from Europe and Asia also pass through the Serengeti.
Our central location allows for quick access to high-density wildlife areas without long drives. We operate early morning and late afternoon game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, guided by experienced naturalists who know the terrain and animal behavior intimately.
