The following Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings with Sightseeing Luxury Tented Lodge. These booking conditions are governed by the laws of Tanzania.
1. Booking
Bookings will only be confirmed upon receipt of a booking voucher or confirmation email.
We do not confirm bookings by telephone. Availability may be checked by phone, but it is subject to change at the time of actual booking.
2. Provisional Booking
A provisional booking will be held for 14 days in our system and will be automatically released thereafter.
Extensions must be requested before the expiry date.
3. Payment
A 20% deposit must be paid within 14 days of confirmation to secure the booking.
The remaining balance is due 60 days before guests arrive at the lodge.
We reserve the right to cancel the booking if payment is not received within the stated time frame.
4. Single Room Policy
Single room rates apply for the first three singles per booking.
From the fourth single onwards, the double room rate will be charged.
5. Tour Leader Policy
International Tour Leader staying in a guest tent on full board: US$ 100 per person, per night.
International Tour Leader staying in a driver-guide tent on full board: US$ 20 per person, per night.
For groups of more than 15 paying guests, one person will receive free accommodation.
Applicable only during Low & High Season.
6. Child Policy
Children under 5 years sharing with 1 or 2 adults: FOC (Free of Charge).
Children aged 5–12 years sharing with 1 or 2 adults: 50% of the adult rate.
Children aged 5–12 years in their own room: 75% of the adult rate.
7. Allocations
Subject to an agreement between both parties, with special terms and conditions applied as necessary.
8. Cancellation Policy
The following penalties apply for cancellations:
90–61 days before arrival: 20% of the total booking amount.
60–31 days before arrival: 50% of the total booking amount.
30 days or less before arrival or no-show: 100% of the total booking amount.
9. Festival Supplements
Christmas (24th & 25th Dec) and New Year’s Eve (31st Dec) supplement: US$ 30 per person, per night.
10. Insurance
Agents must ensure that all guests are covered by comprehensive travel insurance before travel, including coverage for cancellations, medical expenses, personal baggage, and money.
11. Increase in Rates
Rates in this contract are subject to change in case of any increase in government taxes, levies, park fees, camping fees, or the introduction of any new charges.
Sightseeing Luxury Tented Lodge reserves the right to pass these increases to the client.
12. Force Majeure
Neither party will be held responsible for delays or inability to perform the agreement due to causes beyond their control, including “Acts of God” and other circumstances not caused by their fault or negligence.
